THE VISIT OF THE MINISTER OF EDUCATION, SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT
Minister of education, science and technological development, Dr Srdjan Verbić, visited on July 25, 2014 the Astronomical observatory of Belgrade. He came together with the Secretary of state for science, Dr. Aleksandar Belić and the Assistant of the Minister in the Sector for European integration and development and research projects in education and science, Prof. Dr. Viktor Nedović.
The Minister emphasized the importance of the Astronomical observatory, one of the oldest scientific institutions in the region.
The Minister and his collaborators were informed by Director of the Astronomical observatory, Dr Zoran Knežević, about the work of the Observatory and the plans for the future.
The plans for the completion of the dome in which the telescope that is being purchased through the FP7 REGPOT project BELISSIMA will be mounted, were also discussed.
