THE ARRIVAL OF DR. MIROSLAV MIĆIĆ AT AOB
Within the scope of the Work Package 1 (WP1: “Preparations and reinforcement of AOB”) of the BELISSIMA project Dr. Miroslav Mićić was hired at AOB on March 16th, 2011. He has graduated from the Department of Mathematics at the University of Belgrade in 2001, and obtained his PhD at the Pennsylvania State University in 2007. Until the arrival at AOB he has been working as a research associate at the Vanderbilt University, USA, and Sydney Institute for Astronomy at the University of Sydney, Australia.
Dr. Miroslav Mićić is an expert in astrophysical simulations, astronomical data processing and visualization of astronomical data. His work will be invaluable both to the BELISSIMA project and AOB. Immediately after his arrival he has started with various activities. He initiated the collaboration with young researchers at AOB regarding starting various research projects with numerical astrophysical simulations. Dr. Mićić was appointed the head of the Work Package 3 (WP3: “Human potential, training, and public outreach”) of the BELISSIMA project (see the news). Also, Dr. Mićić together with Dr . Milan Bogosavljević has represented the BELISSIMA project in Niš and Petnica (see the news).
